I didn't have an account before. What now? Enroll in Online Banking and request Bill Pay. You have to have at least one checking account to be enrolled in Bill Pay -- those are the only accounts eligible for Bill Pay.
I am enrolled and signed in, any hints? Relax and let the system guide you. If you have your billing information from a paper bill or diligent record keeping, add the biller to the system. Click on Add a Bill and answer the questions. The biller appears in your list and you can initiate a payment for them any time afterward.
How does it pay my bill? Once you have a biller in the system and are ready to pay them, just fill in the amount. The system will fill in the earliest possible date the bill can be paid. Adjust the date if need be. Be sure to allow time in case the payment must be made by check. It can take as long as 4 days after you set up the payment for it to be made. The system determines whether the biller will accept an electronic payment or will have to be issued a check. Then it either performs the transaction for you or mails a check on your behalf with the necessary information to get the credit to your account.
Can I add a memo to checks? Most transactions allow a 34-character note (which is printed in the memo field on a check payment) about your bill payment.
